What do they look like now: Essentially the same as canon, just older. A little more muscular, due to his occupation. Probably the most notable difference is his tattoo of Koharu's first name, written in elegant cursive romanji, on the upper inside of his left thigh (which he got on one new years', while he was completely and utterly drunk), though it can only be seen when he's completely naked.
Their current job: Crime Scene Investigator for the Tokyo police.
Current family they may be living with (if any. It's okay if they're living alone): None.

History: Koharu and Yuuji dated during their third year of junior high, and all three years of high school. Yuuji, following his dream and his passion, applied to an art college in France, and their original plan was to go together. Then a week before Yuuji was scheduled to leave, Koharu ended their relationship.
Confused, upset, and alone, Yuuji stuck to the original plan and flew all the way to France. He spent a year in his art college, only to discover he seemed to have lost his passion for art, and during his second term there he took a few extra classes at another college to broaden his horizons. It was those classes that led him down the path of a CSI. He still drew, as a hobby, and sometimes he'd do portraits for money when he was in need of some extra spending cash, and after he completed his degree, he joined the Paris police force and became an official CSI in France.
He never did move beyond his love of Koharu, and has been single (and celibate) since the breakup, despite the "suitors" he's had.
Homesickness eventually got the better of him, though, and Yuuji has moved back home to Japan. He stayed with his family for a while, while searching for a new job and a place of his own, and finally ended up in Tokyo, at the Konomi Complex.

Mom's driving me nuts. I know she's concerned, and wants me to get a good job and be happy, and find a boyfriend (or a girlfriend, even though she's already accepted the idea that if she wants grandkids, they're gonna come from Nii-san), and all that jazz.
And, though I haven't said anything to her directly, I think her woman's intuition has made her suspect that I'm still completely in love with Koharu, and that, short of some miracle that brings Koharu and I back together, I'll be single the rest of my life.
It's not a bad life, really. My work keeps me occupied, or did, when I actually had a job, and at least in Paris I had friends to take up my spare time. And I'm not expecting to get back with Koharu. Maybe he and I can still be friends, should I ever run into him again, but... I don't want to be with him and wonder if he's going to leave me again when he thinks it's "for the best".
But the good news is that I think I finally found a place to live. It's in Tokyo, so in a way, it'll be like Paris all over again, having to meet people and make friends completely on my own, but at least it's Japan.
